On the eve of her wedding, Eleni stumbled upon a heart-wrenching scene - her fiancé and sister entwined on their soon-to-be marital bed. Enraged, she masterminded a public spectacle, ruthlessly disgracing the unfaithful pair. A man observing the unfolding drama had an enigmatic smile playing on his lips. 'Make the arrangements,' he commanded, 'She will be mine tonight.'
Royal Grand Hotel.
An extravagant wedding was in full process. The groom was tall and handsome, the bride tranquil and beautiful. Yet there was an unmistakable hint of sorrow in her gaze as she looked at the groom.
The officiant passionately recounted their influential backgrounds, “The groom, Mason Wright, is the young master of Cloud Sky Group, a prototypical rich second generation. The bride, Eleni West, is considered the beauty of Newcastle's university foreign language department and she is also the daughter of the mayor of Plymouth”
The host's wit shone as he unveiled their story of falling in love, drawing laughter from the guests. Among the crowd, however, one individual’s gaze harrowingly resembled that of a cold, fixated snake, locked onto the stunning bride.
Eleni calmly looked at the ecstatic Mason sitting beside her, the profound agony in her eyes concealed. She reminded herself, only a little longer, just a little longer, then it would all be over.
The enthusiastic speech from the host finally concluded, he announced, “Next, please enjoy the short film made by our beautiful bride Eleni . This is a record of the bride and groom as they grew up and fell for each other. Please enjoy.”
Everyone turned to the big screen, Eleni couldn’t help but clench her fists. She knew, the high point of drama was soon going to be unveiled.
The initial images were the adorable and warm baby pictures of the couple, which everyone received warmly.
Next was a hilarious, puerile naked photo of the groom, causing an uproar of laughter from the crowd. Mason slightly pursed his lips, and there appeared to be a suspicious blush on his grinning face.
He glanced at Eleni , noticing her slightly pale face, and assumed she was nervous. On that assumption, he quietly reached over to pat her hand. When Eleni raised her eyes to meet his, Mason smiled at her, subtly tightening his grip.
Eleni felt a bitter pain in her heart. He was always gentle, yet, even the gentlest people can unexpectedly pierce your heart, leaving you in unbearable agony.
After several normal photos, the guests lost a bit of interest. Then, a man’s naked backside emerged on the screen, immediately catching everyone’s attention.
The photos in the presentation kept rolling. Quickly, they transitioned to a woman’s naked backside which caused an intake of breath from the audience. Mason had already recognized whose picture it was and nervously glanced at Eleni, only to find her intently gazing at the screen.
And then, the main event arrived - an intimate frontal nude photo of a man and a woman...
Total silence befell the room. After a moment, a woman seated among the bride’s guests screamed and ran out of the hall, her face in her hands.
Mason looked at the glowing screen with shock, his face flushed with the humiliation of everyone's gaze. His hands clenching tightly, he turned to stare at Eleni , saying, "Eleni, you..."
Eleni kept her heartache hidden, disregarding his rage as she calmly approached the petrified host. Taking the microphone from the host hand, she said nonchalantly, "As everyone can see, I won't marry him!"
She elegantly handed the microphone back to the host after her words. Seizing the moment while everyone was still in shock, she turned on her heel and left the venue resolutely.
"Eleni , stop right there!" Mason's voice echoed through the hall - a desperate roar, as he glared intensely at Eleni retreating figure.
Eleni didn't stop. Eleni weaved her way through the crowd's gaze, seeming calm on the surface but her heart was in pain. The wedding was a farce she had meticulously staged. The hidden camera was hers, and the bridesmaid who ran out in tears was her younger sister.
At this moment, a tall figure stood up from the crowd, staring at Eleni retreating silhouette. Something dark and obscure flickered in his deep eyes, as if about to overflow.
The assistant, standing right next to him, asked in a low voice, " Mr Fisher, shall we leave now?"
Logan Fisher raised an eyebrow at him, his lips curling up in a mischievous smile, "The drama is over, do you still want to stay here and enjoy some celebration drinks?"
The assistant shuddered slightly, clearly intimidated by the Logan. He hastily took a step back. Logan cast one last glance at the chaotic hotel lobby, then turned and strode away.
